Daily… A sketch
Long day and little sleep so I kept it simple tonight, a quick sketch before bed.

He wasn’t going to let the small fact that he was a demon keep him out of heaven’s chocolate waffle saturday.

Daily… When you live with plainswalkers
Yes, this is what happens when you live in a house-hold full of plainswalkers. The battle this evening was between maiki, zone and kimi.

Looks like a nice restful location, I bet it has a wonderful view.

Daily… An attack bot
Today’s image started as a freeform sketch and evolved into the attack robot you see standing before us. I suggest we make our escape.

Daily… A blob creature
Tonight I decided I’d take one of the blobby creatures I always draw and try out the same painting technique I used on the bird. What a difference texture makes! This guy looks all slimy while the bird seemed all fuzzy. Fun stuff.

Daily… A bird
I just got an artbook entitled Out of Picture 2. It’s an anthology of short stories by a group of amazing artists. This is the second anthology they’ve released, I really look forward to checking out the first.
This image was inspired by the wonderful works between the covers.

A simple walk
I’m considering doing a “daily’sh” animation project. Along the same lines as my daily illustration project, but geared towards simple animation exercises and without the strict daily regiment I’m trying to do with the illustrations. For now I’ll keep it as an un-official project.
I think this will be a nice opportunity to practice various motions; lifting, pulling, throwing, jumping, walking, running etc., outside of a film environment.
Today I started with a basic walk cycle. I need to figure out the overlap for the antennae (it’s looking funky at the moment) and I need to offset the arms. I wasn’t sure how to offset them though in a 24 frame cycle, I’ll have to look into that.

Daily… Watercolor
I played around with painters water colors this evening, they’re rather interesting. If you have a “runny” brush, you’ll paint a line and watch the pixels drip! It’s quite amazing.

Daily… The sheriff
Ready to crack heads and bring justice to a town torn apart by a gang of sadist motherfuckers.

Daily… Friday the thirteenth
This is the friday the thirteenth ghost. He thinks he’s rather intimidating, but most people who come across his path just want to hug him.
