I decided to do some ship thumbnails at the Tuesday evening Wacom workshop at school. Whilst unpacking, I came across my Scott Robertson artbook and felt much inspiration!

Daily… Fueling up
Another quick one before bed. I am so exhausted from The move!
[edit]
I realized as I was finishing up the sketch that the ship design looks like a giant penis. I was too tired to care.

Daily… The lamp
One of many to come drawings of our lamp. I really like the colors it gives off at night.

Daily… Bookend’s wrath
The things that orc saw would have filled many a tome with insight into the daring adventurer, Bookend, if only he had survived.

Daily… Move(d)
I drew this after a long day of moving, I’m now situated in my attic space and loving it. Two skylights, one with a view, the other letting in night sounds, I am happy and warm.
A simple sketch before I dip into sleep for a few hours, then off to work!

Daily… The river port
Another another environment. This time around I used reference to get myself started, then had fun inventing.
I notice I tend to like adding airships to my images ^_^

Daily… In the snow
Another environment! I’m having fun exploring imagined worlds, but I think I’m going to practice the basics some more. I need to work on my visual vocabulary.

Daily… In the desert
Somewhat inspired by Dune, but not official fan art. That is to come.

Daily… In the swamp
I had wanted to spend more time on an image tonight, but I’m trying to finish up an animation project.

Daily… Sam Nielson
I tried painting this in the style of Sam Nielson‘s work. I was far from successful (in capturing his look), but it was a fun exercise regardless, I look forward to trying it more!

Daily… Thumbnails
I practiced drawing out some simple character thumbnails this time around. I need to go through my sketchbooks and look at what I’ve done in the past. It just wasn’t feeling as natural on the tablet as it had previously on paper.
