Sometimes I have an idea of where I want an image to go and just work towards that. Most of the time I sort of free sketch from my imagination.
I’m working at not seeing the literal drawing in front of me (the paper, or digital workspace, the pencil and brush marks) and instead I sort of un-focus my attention and look more inward. This helps me visualize where I want a piece to go and not get distracted by what’s in front of me.

That is cool. I like seeing different stages. Do you ever see what the end will look like before it is done?
