Daily… A dragonling
I broke out my animation board and paper! Feels nice to sketch on and I find it easier to draw large. In my sketchbook I tend to draw small, with the characters around 2 to 3 inches in size.

Daily… Fly-by
Trying to add story elements instead of the standard single character sketches I usually do. This could have used another pass so the plane was more dynamic.

Daily… A sketchbook page
I didn’t know what I wanted to draw tonight, so just doodled out some freeform character ideas.

Daily… Copterhead
One of the many experiments to come from the labs of Dr. Heinrich and associates.

Daily… More napkin vehicles
Another set of napkin vehicle sketches, I’m liking this process.

Daily… The chase
Another late night daily image, but tried to tell a simple story with it. I like the bunny balloon character, this is his/her second appearance, this time with quasi wing-ears.

Daily… Pod creature sketch
He’s a funky little guy! I need to work on more 3/4 drawings, I tried getting his other eye in, but the placement was way off.

Daily… Marker thumbnails
A few more vehicle thumbnails, this time done with markers. I want to take one of these and try rendering it out.

Daily… Napkin vehicles
During my break this morning at 5:45 am (yay bake shift), I did some vehicle sketches on some napkins using a sharpie pen. It was a fun way to relax and a neat way to work out some ideas. I liked how rough it was, it helped me not try to focus on any sort of details and instead try and deal with the larger shapes.

Daily… Jury duty
A page from the tiny sketchbook I took with me to Jury Duty. As of 10:40 am, I was excused.

Daily… Abstract in blue
Does that subject title sound artsty and pretentious? Maybe I could have a career in fine art afterall! Well that sounded a bit harsh. But seriously, art pretension is lame!
