Daily… Oldschool
I kinda went back to my roots for this one. Before I started to work on my drawing skills, my fallback was abstract doodling. Lots of repeating lines and patterns. I’d just let my mind wander and create shapes and patterns.
I wanted to get back to that process and see where it would take me. This ended up being less pattern oriented and as I started to see a creature in the shapes, I worked toward it a bit. It’s a fun and cathartic process for me.
Daily… An abstract creature
This time I started with the eye and just sketched around it, building up form and suggesting what this creature might be. My goal here was to leave the final design completely open to interpretation.
Daily… Anatomy study
Doodling in Photoshop and trying to do a bit of an anatomy study without reference. And I got a little creative with the head.
Daily… Tentacles
More messing around in painter, this time a creature with tentacles. It’s been nice doodling around in painter again, but I’d like to approach the next image with more intent and direction.
