Daily… Inspiration
I got a sketchbook of James Jean today, he was the cover artist for the Fables comics for some time. I find his work really inspiring.
I drew a few portraits with his style in mind.

Not updating?
Yeah, so I fell behind with posting my daily images again. Two weeks behind. Here’s hoping to staying on top of it this time!
I’m also trying to kick myself in the butt to put more time into them, I’d ideally like to be spending at least an hour on them. For these past two weeks, I’ve probably averaged around 10 mins per drawing, if that much.

Daily… Markers
I do these little marker sketches for Kimi to take to work each day. One of the girls at the bakery I work at asked me recently to start bringing one in on the weekends, so I sketched this guy out. He looks like he could be a pilot to me.

Daily… A cow study
An upcoming project in my animal drawing class is to do a study of a bovine (including the skeleton, muscles and a rendering). Here I was working on the head, trying to figure out the basic shapes.

Daily… Two face?
You’ll notice he has two sets of eyes, with the second set being on his snout. I wasn’t sure what style head I wanted him to have, so kinda developed both into the same character.

Daily… A dragonling
I broke out my animation board and paper! Feels nice to sketch on and I find it easier to draw large. In my sketchbook I tend to draw small, with the characters around 2 to 3 inches in size.

Trying to add story elements instead of the standard single character sketches I usually do. This could have used another pass so the plane was more dynamic.

Daily… The chase
Another late night daily image, but tried to tell a simple story with it. I like the bunny balloon character, this is his/her second appearance, this time with quasi wing-ears.
