Passing

Feels funky to do so, but using this post as a reminder. My mom passed away Thursday morning (3-29-12). Complete shock for me, she was rather young (63) and in good health as far as we all knew. She went to sleep Wednesday night and didn’t wake up.

I’ve dealt with death before, but always felt rather detached. Or, I’ve been aware of the role that death plays from a very young age and accept it as a natural part, or extension, of life. I guess this is the closes it’s ever hit though, and the effect it’s had on me is much different. Not much more to say than that for now.

Here’s a little dragon, not un-like my previous post, that I think she’d enjoy. A little sketch of a gentle hearted lizard that smells something delicious on the breeze. Rock on little fellow, and I hope you find what you’re looking for.

Rupert – The studious dragon

A sketch done during lunch today that I hope to use for an upcoming painting.

Draco Spinosa

Draco Spinosa, or the Thorny Dragon, is an elusive predator found mainly in the dry brush regions of the great desert. It’s natural camouflage lets it blend in to the briar thickets found throughout the area.

Daily… Something found

Daily… A dino dragon

A dinosaur or a dragon?

These side views are great for coming up with designs, but I should try some other angles too (at least with the designs I like, such as this one).
