Draco Spinosa, or the Thorny Dragon, is an elusive predator found mainly in the dry brush regions of the great desert. It’s natural camouflage lets it blend in to the briar thickets found throughout the area.

These side views are great for coming up with designs, but I should try some other angles too (at least with the designs I like, such as this one).
Daily… Girl meets dragon
This is the final painting for my niece. I’m having fun practicing with watercolors. You can see that it shifted from my initial sketch, I really wanted to show more of the girl. I do like the size relationship more from my sketch though.
Daily… Dragon prelim
For christmas this year I decided to make some watercolor paintings for my family. I found out some months ago that my niece, Natalie, likes dragons. I was quite happy to hear this news and am going to try and foster her love for the creatures. This is the preliminary drawing for her painting.
