Daily… Some pandas

Daily… Thumbnails

A couple thumbnails for an idea I had for a painting. At this point I’m just trying to figure out general placement and proportions, I’ll do another round of sketches better describing his expression and clothing etc. I had been thinking of going with the portrait versus landscape orientation, but seeing them all next to eachother, I’m less sure. I like the vertical arrangement, but having open space ahead of him is nice. If I stick with my plan, the final piece is going to be 16″ x 20″.

Daily… Out for a chromatic walk

Panda takes a walk in a land rich with color.

Daily… Panda at the beach

I’m completely exhausted, did a sketch of a little panda making sand castles at the beach. I miss the beach.

I went to check out the figure painting class at Berkeley City College today. The clans runs for around five hours, but typical to art classes at a community college, I expected to be out after only an hour or two. As such, I didn’t pack any food and only had a small bowl of oatmeal for breakfast. We ended up being there for four of the give hours and by the time I left I was completely out of it. Some pizza from Lanesplitter’s and a bottle of wine made things right. I’m taking a three classes at Solano Wine Cellars and bought a bottle of Riesling I had tried, and rather enjoyed, last night.

Daily… Panda baking

Panda here was helping me make cookies. I made little russian teacakes, one of my favorite cookies.
